Lake Macquarie at Newcastle has a few favourite spots that will require a local map of the lake.

VALENTINE (South/south-east winds). A good grassy rigging area, BBQ & Picnic Tables and Dunnys are handy.

MARMONG POINT SAILING CLUB (South/south-east winds& north-westerlies) A good grassy rigging area and unfortunately a pretty grotty dunny (Council) behind the Sailing club Picnic tables nearby.

MARMONG POINT MARINA (Westerlies) A good grassy rigging area at the end of the street, Kiddies playground, no dunny.

COAL POINT (Nor-easters) Good rigging area, Tables, Dunny, Boat launching ramp. A bastard to launch from but a real good  run across the lake to the sand flats for flatwater blasting
