Sailing Retailers & Hire Shops - Bunbury to Augusta
Basically, if you need gear in the south west of WA you will be sadly
disappointed. Effectively, there are no general windsurfing retailers
south of Mandurah (about 70km south of Perth) in WA. A few retailers
such as Delta sailboards from Margaret River may be able to help you
out for repairs to gear or may be able to tempt you for the best wave
boards you've ever sailed. To my knowledge, there is only one windsurfing
hire business which is situated in Dunsborough, but this only operates
over the summer months, with only gear suited to beginners.
There are other places that are not include here - "Three Bears" and
"Guillotines" and a few SECRET SPOTS. They are difficult to access areas
and are rarely sailed even by the locals but provide excellent sailing
conditions. For the sake of keeping a few places for the locals, Steve
won't put them on the net. If you are in the area, look him up and for
a few beers, he might be persuaded to show you around.
